Article and Photo Submission

Show us your photos! Photos don’t need to be related to an article to be submitted for potential inclusion in the newsletter. If you’ve got a fun or fantastic photo, please share it with us!

Articles and photos are due the 15th of each month prior to the month of publication and are published on a first submittal basis, with the exception that submissions from CTDS members take priority over those from non-members. Long articles may be divided over several newsletters depending upon space available. The Newsletter Editor will determine the size of unpaid submissions to the newsletter based upon space available.

Article Preparation

When preparing your article, note the newsletter is prepared in color for online distribution, but in black and white for print. Please submit your article in one of the following formats (in order of preference from most preferred to least preferred):

Microsoft Publisher (.pub) — USE STANDARD FONTS ONLY
Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) — USE STANDARD FONTS ONLY
Rich Text Format (.rtf) — USE STANDARD FONTS ONLY
Plain Text (.txt)

Photo Submission

Please submit all photos in color (if available) and at the highest resolution you have available to you. Your photo should be submitted in one of the following formats (in order of preference from most preferred to least preferred):

JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg)
TIFF (.tif or .tiff)
GIF (.gif)
Windows Bitmap (.bmp)
Hardcopy for scanning — PRESERVATION OF QUALITY NOT GUARANTEED

Please provide as much information as you have about the content of the photo: names of people, places, horses, and the date (however approximate) the photo was taken. Providing a suggested caption for each photo is also appreciated!
